Our Traditional Catalan food

In Catalonia there are traditional food.
Today we talk about us



In Sant Joan is tradicional eat a cake. This cake call "coca de Sant Joan". They cake is make of "mazapan", this is a type of plumcake make with sugar.
In my opinion this cake is very tasty.





A popular eat is a bread with tomato.
Catalans eat much and there are pubs that they give you all type of salami and ham with salt which is typical of Sapin. They are speciality about hams arround the Catalonia.
Some catalans eat ham with salt and bread with tomato every night or to have breakfast.
The salami are very popular because here there are a lot of salamis and all types.
Our salamis are distributed arround the world and they are very well-known.


Another popular food is a desert they call "crema catalana".
They recept is this:
  • 1/2 l. of milk
  • 4 egs
  • 125 g. of sugar
  • 20 g. de midó en flor
  • cinnamon
  • peel lemon
  • 40 g of sugar to burn the cream
This desert is the colour yellow and the sugar is brown. Look the photo





Italian food*








Today I am going to talk about Italian food which I love,
PASTAA
I think that it is a nutritive food and it's very tasty.
The best is that we can choose different types of paste, that can be with some ingredients like tomato, vegetables of all kind, eggs, tomatoes, bread, cheese, cream...among others.





SALAD PASTA

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of green pasta
  • big leaves of lettuce
  • 4 tomatos
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 wrong eggs
  • 50 grs. of emmental cheese or gruyere
  • 1 onion
  • thyne
  • oil
  • vinegar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • black olives
Preparation:

1. In the bowl put the leaves of lettuces. It has to cover the back of the recipient with the pasta cooked.
2. Cut the onion in slices and mix it with the pasta. Thin slices of cheese, too.
3 Around the bowl put tomatoes and the wrong eggs broken on the half. Also, put slices of carrot decorating the bowl
3. Finally, descorate the bowl with some black olives and give taste with the oil, vinager, pepper and salt. If you can, pu also thyne.
